Raised prim and proper to the extent of nearly verging being nothing more than a pretty wallflower, Noelle innately strives to be polite and kind to those she meets no matter their attitude or background. At a [rather quick]glance one would assume that'd she speak with that sort of nose-in-the-air poshness, but she retains positive, fair manners...not eloquence. Due to lack of exposure a bigger variety of lifestyles while growing up, its obvious that social interaction was never one of her strongest capabilities. She has a quieter tone, sometimes speaking so softly that one would have to lean in closer to understand her--which would only fluster the poor girl further. Although she tries to appear distant and incredibly respectful of boundaries, the way she leans closer when shown something or lights up when invited along tells a very different story of her personality.

As her taught outer shell is cracked away it, it becomes glaringly obvious she's not a perfect monotone daughter of some fat cat back home. Though she may dress as if she's expecting an invitation to a ballroom gala daily, the girl is a natural magnet to messiness and creating a ruckus with that perfectly wrong footstep or bump into something collapsible. She maintains a weird sense of disorganized order, making her shop and home hard to navigate without begging for assistance. To her, these strange methods of organizing and trains of thought make perfect sense and she's often confused to how others cant keep up. More often than not Noelle gets tangled up in her own little world, where everything has already locked into place. Though mostly surfacing while she paints, sometimes the girl can space out at the most inconvenient times.

Once the awkward polite phase is broken, a surprising amount of vibrant life can be found that mirrors the excited paintings hung around her shop. She cares deeply for those who allow her to, and eagerly pours her trust and faith into others. She's the kind of friend who would break your door down if you try and hole away on a depressing day, armed with blankets and stupid movies. Her behavior is quirky at best, and it can be a handful to keep up with her childish ideas and attitude. Noelle seems pleased to give and take affection in leaps and bounds, and expresses her care through multitudes of gifts, actions, and floatie ghost hugs.

Though she continually works hard to appear strong and build herself up, she's still a bit too sensitive. Occasionally this assists her in sympathizing with others, but the welcoming largeness of her heart comes at a price. A wrongly placed word aimed to pierce her heart is all it takes to make her cry, and afterwards she is generally embarrassed by her inability to stop once it starts. Even the tiniest of things can vastly upset her, and then later make her upset over how upset she got.
Yet as an important whole, Noelle enjoys learning new things and experiencing life to its fullest, almost fawning over those who reveling in it day by day. Noelle soaks in new information like a greedy sponge, always willing to learn and be shown more, accepting and craving guidance as she struggles to express her desire of independence.

●history

Often looking as if she just stepped out of the Victorian era, it's no surprised Noelle was raised in an environment reminiscent of the time period.

Born into a family of excessive wealth and familial pride, Noelle became the newest member of an extravagant lineage, one that held up its wealth and poweress despite the introduction of the twenty-first century. Family business was kept within the family, forming a tightknit and exclusive circle which only expanded via picky marriages. Her mother, a gorgeous and lean Liligant who held herself with dignity and poise, was thrilled to have a sweet little daughter to raise in tempo with her own upbringing. Whereas her father, a Chandelure with a much more stern and handsome presence, was the kind that could command an entire management. He wanted a proper heir to the family's oil company. And he would forge one out of whichever son or daughter need be--
It turned out Noelle was an only child.

She lived an isolated youth, spending her younger days learning proper mannerism that left an excited child like her bored. Many days were spent being stuffed into pretty dresses-- while all she wanted to do was run outside and play. Maybe a few times she succeeded in slipping away from a nanny's grasp, getting scolded profusely later as she stood there, proud and covered in fresh mud. The cake underneath her nails for the couple weeks following was always a worthwhile reminder to the flash of life she tasted.
Her hair was kept in neat and tidy buns, even though she loved it when the wind flowed right through dark strands. Noelle was constantly teeming with life, eager to take the world by storm rather than be sat still and homeschooled, expected to be as advanced as her father had been at her age. Creativity welled up inside her, never receiving a proper outlet except when she doodled all over her work rather than accomplishing it. She'd trip and fall in ballet lessons, laughing at the joy of her own mistakes, she'd scamper all about to avoid being tossed in the bath as the cleaners sighed over another grass-stained dress.

As the years went by, the liveliness began to fade. Not necessarily leave, but rather, be covered up and tucked away to await another day to rekindle. She stopped scrambling two steps a time up the stairs just to slide down the railing much to a poor attenders dismay, she stopped running off after that pretty butterfly when being showed how to tend to flowers. But she never stopped watching out the windows of the manner, quietly indulging in the life outdoors.
The new behavior was...pleasing. At first. The wealthy couple thought that their daughter was finally settling down into a mature atmosphere. It was even celebrated when her totem was revealed so early on, connecting herself to the ghostly Yamask, the gold glittery mask donned so shimmery and befitting. Her father was so proud of her growing compliance to her role and status, but her mother began to get concerned as she hid away into her room, acting uncharacteristically languid and unresponsive. She spent a lot of time in her own little world, and sometimes missed conversations completely, only giving absent but polite nods here and there.

Eventually after some bickering she wasn't meant to hear, Noelle was allowed to attend to a local school--and it had been wonderful. Most fellow students were deterred by her quiet demeanor and awkward detachment, but she managed to make a few connections with those who weren't popular on the playground either. They were loose and easily frayed connections, but she was happy all the same to have any at all.

When a new girl--a tanned litwik--appeared some day in the early spring out of the blue, Noelle was in awe over the excited way she held herself, speaking loudly with her big voice and happy gestures alike. There was a glitter in her eyes, the kind that had already explored so much of the world and was eager to see the rest. Like many other students, she drank in the endless stories and journeys the young girl spun before their very eyes. In time the wonder of a newbie began to dwindle away, and in its stead grew a friendship between the two. Noelle always wanted to hear that story one more time, even if the rest scoffed by now for the fiftieth time, and the girl--Sabrine--was always happy to oblige.

Noelle began to visit Sabrine's home, tepid to tread into such a cozy place. She lived alone with her father in a messy little cabin that was so comfortable and welcoming that the little yamask never wanted to leave. Sabrine's father was a big, boisterous man, whose stories outranked his daughter's and never ran out--he was one who traveled from place to place, capturing the beauty found in each moment. He was a painter.
Noelle was captivated by the paintings hanging on each wall, Sabrine proudly announcing which ones were hers since it was oh so challenging to distinguish, she knew. The ghost girl loved it, but what she loved even more were the moments where she was allowed to draw and paint too, encouraged and reassured by the ursaring man, and the moments where she was allowed to run around in the boundless outdoors with her best friend by her side.

Her parents were ecstatic to see the positive shift in their daughter, relieved to see a mix of liveliness and reserve present in her attitude. She spent less time in her room and more at Sabrine's house, taking painting lessons from the kind ursaring, unleashing the creativity and wonder stored up in her heart with vibrant palettes unlike she had seen before. Of course she kept up with the prim and proper lessons as a lady should, making time for both in her schedule.
Then one abrupt day, it ended. Sabrine and her father were moving--the news shattered the yamask's heart, but the goodbye is what had truly finished her off. The hiding away began once more, sheltering herself into daydreams and dearly clinging to the paint set Sabrine and her father gifted before their departure. They were off to travel more, to see more, and hoped to see Noelle again someday.

Nothing could alleviate this brewing mood, worse now then it had been when she was young and had only the tiniest tastes of life to base this emptiness off of. She missed the liveliness she had seen in Sabrine, wishing there was a way to recapture the emotions she had felt on the lax evenings at her house, feeling free, and feeling more like herself than she ever had before.
As an older, smarter girl than she had been prior, she knew in her heart that things had to change. She could never be happy inheriting her father's business, and she now knew what brought her joy and gave her the life she wanted. Trying to ignore the bittersweet feelings clinging to the canvas, Noelle used her best friend's parting gift to her to paint, a painting that was the most impressive one yet.
She knew that she wanted to do this for the rest of her life.

The idea was bounced off her parents, who let the idea kindle in their mind. They had seen their daughter's unhappiness, and understood that she couldn't possibly be happy with how life was for her currently. She may not be inheriting the family business, however... starting a new business was equally impressive, even to her father.

Giving her a small talk and an offer to give their daughter enough money to start out her life right, they were surprised that the quirky girl was beyond excited, throwing her arms around them and thanking them a million times over and over.

●courtship●

Having few friendships and absolutely no qualifying grounds in extensive relationships that delve deeper, Noelle is enthralled by many things and thus by many people. She seems drawn to those who exhibit liveliness, and this is something which possesses no specific guidelines. She likes people who are much more heart and home orientated than materialistic, finding adoration in the items that are quaint but well-made with care and time and good intent. Overall her curious nature lets her invest time in almost anyone.

        Talents:

painting/crafting:
since Noelle loves to use her imagination as well as observe everyday life to the extreme, painting and sculpting and things of that nature come to her easily and excitingly. generally in that temple of a dress there's a tiny sketchbook and pencil hidden for her to whip out when inspiration strikes.
some of her works, though... the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, practice makes perfect and all that.

singing/piano playing: though she rarely does it in front of anyone else, Noelle did have music lessons while she was young. she can dabble in a couple other instruments as well but her better skills rest in piano playing and vocals, typically softer, slower songs. loves pop music since its so upbeat but hasn't quite figured it out yet.

storytelling: when she gets into it, she's wonderful at spinning adventures inside her head to share with others through verbal storytelling or through art. she began this somewhere along the way while being around Sabrine, as she did not have her own adventures to tell she crafted unique ones, despite the lack of reality to them.

        Funfacts:

»Right now, it's likely Giselleis a good example of her voice. [except speaking softer]
»She really, really loves farms/ranches and admires those who work on them daily. She could never do it!
»Wants to learn all sorts of things, very eager listener and learner when its not drab textbook material.
»Has lived a really sheltered life but is overall open to the diversity of the world.
»Loves fashion and tries out many outfits and styles to explore past her comfort zone.
»Speaking of comfort zones, she enjoys trying to live outside hers as much as she can bear.
            »Very easy to fluster.
»As a ghost type, she can float a little bit. Her hair seems to exemplify this more than she does.
»The "hands" in her hair can do nothing but look fancy.
